Working today for a better tommorow
It brings Pride to be able to communicate to a part of the organization that has supported growth n safety to us since decades.

As no nation is perfect, but along with all the economic n social development, there are a few obstacles that come up in everyday consumers lives, which i guess would be something minuscule to do, but would make a difference to the aura of the city. After our lords, it is in you the people vest their faith in. On behalf of many, in service of many, request you to give me the opportunity to bring our small but important grievances to you.

Injustice of the handicapped
you do not know anything about me. I completed the largest in the world The great oF deaf brilliant:

Ms.Pradeep.kharade.

Respected ,Priya Dutta(Aunty)
I would like to bring to your notice that there are many participants at the''BOMBAY DEAF HANDICAPPED FESTIVAL'' to be held in OCT 2009 But unfortunately handicapped. children/persons(mentally/physically challenged) are kept away from participating in the competitions. Is it not injustice? Are they not human beings like
others? Why should they not get a chance to show their abilities?
I humbly request you to arrange some programs for these handicapped and give them too opportunitiesfor the same.
It would be of great encouragement to us if you could arrange such programs in the presence of dignities and actor/actresses(bollywood/hollywood).
I hope that you will look into the matter and take the required measures for the same.
yours faithfully,
pradeep.kharade(DEAF)

You're every woman
Dear Priya,
Congratulations on your achievements. Women like you make women like me proud. I remember you as this girl in the sociology class at sophia's especially the one next to the library... which was the college library extention. Nirmala Narasimhan and Shobha Theckedat used to teach us there. yes, we were in the same batch...sociology major. You sat behind with a friend...I think her name was Amardeep or some thing like that. You would not have known me and my friend Shephali who used to sit closer up to the teacher.
After passing out from Sophia's I began working for Mid-Day... stayed with them for almost 10 years....covered the education beat in Mumbai extensively. The late Ahmed Zakaria"s daughter Shaheen was with me in Mid-Day.
I quit in 1996 after my folks moved to the US. Am married and have a son. He had to be taken care of and I had to choose between career and home like many other Indian women. I had to choose home. But I kept in touch with my writing. It was not hard core journalism..but fun stuff like story books for kids and travel writing for websites.
I am glad to know that you are balancing both.
Shephali is in Kuwait. She and I keep track of your carer and we are really happy for you.
All the best. Make India Proud like your parents did.
God Bless.

Treatment on Airport
Dear Madam.

Recently, you may saw the news that one worker who was returning from muscat was beaten by customs officers at lucknow airport. Most of the time these poor workers from Gulf Countries are ill treated on INDIAN Airports. If someone coming from US or Europe, these officials so soft and kind. Please raise the issue as we gulf workers are contributing a lot for india in foreign remitence...
