Save St. Stanislaus High School
Dear Priya,
i have a simple request for all those who come up with these ideas"pl do not touch my school..".
All those who plead the same have already given sensible and rational reasons as to why it should not be done.... here's one more ..... if you allow it today, tomorrow, some equally 'competent' authorities would extend the logic and decree that the schools should make available their playgrounds for setting up parking lots and hawkers zones so as to 'ease' the congestion on Hill Road and improve the area. Please stop this.... we have to maintain a quality heritage structure especially if it is built on legally and legitimately acquired land and is a legal structure that has stood there for over a 100 years-it was not a result of corruption and connivance of officials with a dormant conscience; who have absolutely no right to destroy it.... i'm not even getting into the religious/emotional bonding and the number of people that such Institutions have nurtured ....may better sene prevail.

Save St. Stanislaus
Dear Priya,
I just sent you an email but also wanted to post here to register my petition to save St. Stanislaus/St. Peter's.
As so many have stated here, taking away this land will rob Bandra of a part of its shining glory. For the sake of the many children and families who find hope and solace there, do not take away a part of our history and our future.
Thanking you for your attention in this regard,
Karen Kapoor

St Stanislaus
Hello Ms Dutt,

I am totally against the school property been adjusted to accommodate the road widening. It has been the finest school for years and generations; and rightfully so, in the overall development of the student's mind and body, any adjustments to the physical boundary will affect the school and churches ability to raise such fine young leaders and citizens to be.

Please use my online voice against the notice received from the Ward Officer, Bandra.

Thank You
Ivan Fernandes

Road widening
Dear Priya

We are ex-students of a 150 year old renowned Jesuit institution located in Bandra, Mumbai namely St. Stanislaus High School.

A public works project initiated by the Bombay
Muncipal Corporation requires St. Stanislaus to give
up its land. This will cause irreparable harm in the
form of damage to a "Heritage" structure that includes

1) Removal/Relocation of Graves of departed souls
2) Demolishing of Youth Service Center
3) Demolishing the KinderGarden Building

Our humble request to your offices to intervene on our
behalf.

Sincerely,

Ex-Student (Raymond J. Mendonca)
Location (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

road widening
respected madam,
i belong to a family that has studied at stanislaus for the past 3 generations and won't let such an integral part of it's premises be destroyed.
i hereby urge you to act like your father (good) and not like your brother and do what your father would do.
i have seen your father since i was a child. i grew up in the building next to his office on 24th road bandra and i know how he helped all who came to his door.
this is not flattery.
let me tell yu this.
Pls do not let this demolition continue,

Hill Road widening
Dear Ms Dutt,
It is not surprising to know that Hill Road which is probably the most crowded road in Bandra is next on the road widening spree of the BMC. Whenever BMC is faced with traffic problems the only solution sought is to widen the road. The root cause of the problem though known is never addressed. Here also the root cause of the problem is un-authorised structures and hawkers. Hence whenever road widening takes place within a span of 6 months the same problem creeps up and the same expensive solution.
This only benefits the BMC and it corporators. All paid by us citizens. We not only lose our taxes but also have to lose our heritage and culture. St. Peters church is much too precious to lose for any reason including road widening solutions of our BMC.
Any harm to this heritage structure is strongly Protested.

Heritage Should Be Saved- Not Murdered
Hi,
I am an ex-stanislite and not to mention...a bandra resident too. In all the 24 yrs. that I hve lived in Bandra, I have only seen the B.M.C. doing this city an our suburb harm.In every aspect. From road development to road and city clenliness, all the way to illegal constructions. Its high time the ppl of bandra voiced their opinons on such 'corrupt and offensive' decissions taken by the B.M.C. The most annoying part is.. 'Hawkers' who were not supposed to be there in the first place, will be benifitting from these Dementeded decissions. The B.M.C. has now for too long misused hard earned tax payers money to fill their own pockets. Its high time that 'We' the people of Mumbai/India put our feet down, and fight these annoying and greedy illeterate people who are hell bent on ruining our country and society.
With this sincere request,I request you Priya Dutt Roncon to Hear Our Plea.

Saving Bandra
Hi,
I would like to address all the politicians involved in the improvement of the Bandra roads. Although i appriciate the much awaited effort, i would request you not to detroy the culture and essence of Bandra which has taken 100's of years to develop. Breaking the wall of St. Stanisclaus is not a solution its just a way of destroying Bandra....Please dont destroy what we have...and what we love...thank u...

Widening of Hill Road
Dear Ms. Dutt,

As you are aware the Municipal Corporation has decided to widen Hill road and in doing so, part of the grounds of St. Stanislaus High School and St Peters church will be taken over. I have seen in the past many roads being widened and after that either the hawkers take over that place or that area being used as a parking place. I think if the BMC need to make the roads wider, then they should start by removing the hawkers from Hill Road rather than giving them a greater area to flourish.

One more point to be added is that a part of the graveyard and the grotto will be taken as well. We catholics are a minority in this country but that doesn’t mean our religious sentiments are not important. This school has been there from 1887 and so many people are emotionally attached to it. I think it is unfair to take over Bandra’s heritage.

I request you to please look into the matter.
