Traffic Nuisance
All efforts seem to have failed in controlling the Trafic at Mt. Carmel Church, Chapel Road, Bandra 9west). We need your good office to find a solution to this menance. I am a senior citizen who was knocked down & now, have to use an armstick to go about. Like me there are several Senior & citizens who have been involved in accidents on this road. Crossing this road is a nightmare. Now, motorcyclist ride on the pavements, so where does one walk. Cyclist ride on this NO ENTRY road and knock down pedestrians. Several times we have tried to stop the Motorcyclist, which results in a brawl. Please ensure that a vigilant policeman is deputed. Also make a Zebra crossing with a pedestrian signal. A simple task for you & thank you.

Job Cuts - Pink Slips
Dear Ma'am,
The current global economic recession has led to many job cuts in various sectors which is been intimidating all.
I often wonder about the job security for upcoming generations. Are we really geared up to accept the challenges of global economic meltdown. We all are in a hope that we don’t have to face this situation. But I am sure we must have seen this crisis effecting our friends and around.
Now a days, I am sure before spending a rupee, we think twice whether this expense is worth ? In India people are in a saving mode for future inspite of GDP growth and inflation control. We have seen several cost cutting strategies been laid down in organizations in a variety of sectors.
But if organizations shall focus on Manpower retrenchment rather than salary deduction and choose Margins over Manpower,What shall happen to “AAM AADMI” ??
Elections are on the verge and if unemployment is an issue in metropolitan cities, this is a major agenda to be focused by all political parties. But should we all qualified professional just let it pass by as an agenda, political discussions, debates, statements, articles or work on some concrete measures.
I truly, support the statement given by Mr.Pranab Mukherjee (Finance Minister ) India that ”Protect jobs even at the cost of pay cuts “.
How long can we survive on our savings. I am sure with various liabilities on us and debts long time survival shall be difficult.Govt of India shall have to take stringent measures on adapting policies for recruitment by pvt.sector organization.
There should be job retention policies with salary deductions during recession period. Recession period should be declared by Govt.of India after mutual discussion with Pvt.Sector organizations.
Just lay offs shall surely be tragic for all. I often ponder, if I am the CEO of the organization during global recession or crisis. What will I choose if the options available are Margins or Manpower?
As a CEO, my agenda would be “BOTTOM LINE “ to generate profits for my organization. But at what cost ? Retrenchment !! Is this the only option available?
No, my dear friends, Organization and employees are like a close family. Sometimes, there are crisis in families and salary reduction is welcomed over job cuts. There are several options available and needs to be strategically explored to arise at a win-win situation for a better India

Statement given by Mr.Pranab Mukherjee that ”Protect jobs even at the cost of pay cuts “ is truly justifiable.

A welcome change
Dear Ms.Dutt,
I have to say I am so impressed with this site...When I was looking up information about you, I hardly expected to bump into your own website. It feels like a breath of fresh air to see a young Indian politician, educated abroad, technologically advanced, modern and yet in touch with realities of India. We need more like you to change the stagnant corrupt Indian political scenario.I wish you all the best. I am inspired and will be following your progress closely.

various
dear madam,
I take this opportunity to just convey some thoughts of mine and it will be done more frequently in the times to come,i hope you take it in the right spirit and pls note that any views expressed hereafter is not an advise or outburst ,its just an expression from a citizen to his leader.
i agree with you that we should not be sitting out on fence but we should be strong enough to take the plunge. But pls note that their are several educated youth who really want to take the plunge but their are always those sitting good for nothing people who are not really interested in any thing but only their selfish gains, and who may be in your good books because they always stand with garland of flowers and arrange public meetings in order to seek your attentions but in fact these people are always standing on grave of more deserving people who actually run the show ,arrange your meetings ,actually work for you and increase your popularity but are never allowed to be brought to your notice ,these are the people who can really do good to india, mumbai and your constituency, and make you stronger so why dont you create a way in which you can indentify the real workers and your future strength.Remember now the time has come when you have to give chance to educated and commited youth who want to become the part of your team.Politics should no longer be governed by set of hooligans and people who join politics for monetary gains,i agree in todays time no politics even for better can run without money, but please select and identify people on their merits and ideology and accordingly assign them the deserving posts so that they can support you in your and countries common goal.
i am proud that you are the M . P of our area and dynamic and different from others.Yes indeed you have given us some dynamic councillors in our constituency who is always ever within the reach of masses and is always ready to serve the poor and needy, but remember with great power comes great responsibilities so pls re design your system in your own way so that you can give more good such mlas and councillors and no one becomes hero on the grave of un sung heroes.

Cofee with Karan
I really enjoyed the opening and sharing your heart in this program. The cause of writing this to you is only to provide support to the answer you gave when you become prime minister of India. I pray you will achieve this as you are young in politics.
Wish you best of luck.
